I'm so thrilled to announce that I'll be attending the first annual La Conner Guitar Festival this May in La Conner, WA. I have never attended any kind of festival like this before, but my wife and I both agree that it's past time to start. It's not that I haven't wanted to attend anything like this before (except maybe NAMM...ugh), it's just that I am very short on time. My family, and the time I have with them is so precious, and it's really hard for me to get away. It's time though. I'm not going to lie, I am totally intimidated. The lineup for this show is crazy. Some of the best of the best, some that I have admired for years, some that I have always wanted to meet, and some that I have flat-out stolen ideas from! Well, you know what they say about imitation. Anyway, I'm thrilled to be attending, and a special 'Thank You' to my friend Gerry Humphrey of Humphrey Amps for throwing my name into the bowl! I think I will only be able to complete one or MAYBE two guitars to bring with me to have as 'available', but I'm sure I can round up a handful of customers guitars to take with me for display. And of course, I will always have Boswell No. 0004 and 0006 to show as well as examples of my early work (see blog post "A Boswell Homecoming"). I will be starting a build thread on the festival guitar(s) as soon as I get going on them. Any suggestions?? Anyway, my mind is going 1000mps. Gotta go for now. More to come soon!!
